Product Description

With its three massive horns, few predators would dare attack the Triceratops.

Triceratops, although it looked fierce, fed on plants and trees. For this reason, it was hunted by the Tyrannosaurus Rex. The front of its jaw formed a beak, similar to that of a parrot, which it used in cutting vegetation. Triceratops had three horns made of keratin, the same protein that composes fingernails and hair: the horns above its eyes were the longest, extending almost three feet. Since its head was equal to the weight of a small car and approximately one third of its body, its tail was also very heavy to keep its thirty foot long body balanced. Its legs were very strong, similar to an elephant's legs today.

Fun Facts: This dinosaur weighed almost as much as two school buses.

My son loves dinosaurs so we decided to get him a few made by Schleich. Not only are these toys durable, they go in the bath, to the beach, to school etc. But these toys are incredibly well executed. They are gorgeous to look at and make creative play fun and easy. They are worth the money you pay for them. These toys are the kind of toys you pass down to other children in the family. Gorgeous! Wonderful! And my son loves to play with them.

7 y/o son loves dinosaurs. This one is very detailed and more sturdy than I would have expected. I suppose it could be a display figurine, but he enjoys playing with it and it seems to hold up well.

Got this for my grandson who is into anything dinosaur. It was smaller than I thought it would be, but I had also ordered a larger one, so now he has "a mama and baby". This is an extremely well made toy, very sturdy and colorful. It will provide years of play and no worry about "wear and tear".
