The classic Glazed Schlemmertopf is made in Germany. It provides you with options in cooking as it can be used in either the oven of the microwave. It provides healthy cooking options for you, and comes with an instruction book and cook book. The top is unglazed and allows the moisure to cook into the food. The bottom is glazed inside making it easy to clean and allows you to cook meats and side dishes together. This unit serves 2-4 people.

The Schlemmertopf itself is great. The size we ordered is a small, good for cooking portions for two people, especially if you're on a health-conscious diet; otherwise you might want to order the medium one.

Cooking with this is a breeze, and it's very healthy - no need to use oil or cooking spray to get juicy meats. Just soak the lid in water for 10 minutes, place your meats/veggies inside, season to your liking, and let cook... done!

Our only complaint is that when this item arrived from Amazon, a corner piece of the lid was broken off (About a 2 inch piece I would say). It's not a deal breaker, though... we were tempted to send it back for a replacement, but decided it's not worth the time and effort. The Schlemmertopf still works just fine with the missing corner, no difference whatsoever.

The Schlemmertopf was recommended by my wife's mom, who lives in Europe and has been cooking with it for quite some time.

All in all, an A+++ product.

I love this dish. It is nice to cook the meal together and comes out tasting great. depending on your oven you might have to cook it less then they recommend. Easy to clean.

I have a small duck-shaped Schlemmertopf clay cooker that I really like but it is only big enough to fix a meal for two. I compared dimensions with the small cooker offered and decided it would allow me to prepare a meal for four. It does but it's a tight fit, although it performs beautifully. I used a stiff brush, as recommended, to try to remove all the black that the high heat bakes on, but was not 100% successful. I'd welcome any suggestions.
