Schnitzel Von Krumm is a Dachshund with a very low tum and has been seen in numerous Hairy Maclary books. Now as star of his own book we learn many of the wonderful things that this low-built dog can do. From uncontrolled fetching to rolling in the dirt, from hunting rabbits to running with his friends, but everyone knows that dog can not climb trees. We follow Schnitzel through delightful antics and get some cameos of other dogs from Lynley Dodd's books until the dachshund chases a cat up a tree. But everyone knows that dogs can not climb trees. Or can they?Another delightful tale from New Zealand's most popular author of children's books. Once again Lynley Dodd uses lyrical language and rhyming patters combined with delightful illustrations to tell the tale of another unusual canine. Having had a dachshund I was delighted to see that Schnitzel von Krumm with th every low tum had a book all to himself. After a dozen books from the author I am happy to say that each new title I find is as delightful and fun as the rest. And my kids, of course, agree all the way.

Great book to read to little ones.The rhyming is wonderful. The story line cute. Excellent for pre-schoolers. |
