the weak pianoforte, June 12, 2008

In Schobert's chamber music the main protagonist is the keyboard. In this recordong the pianoforte of 1820 is weak and seems to be an accompaniment to the strings. The musicians should have used a modern piano and played the pieces in the academic tradition. The music is nice, but what a stupid idea it was to use the squeaky and weak pianoforte!
