We found this book to be lacking in the number of entries/words it carries. My daughter is in a 3rd grade GT class, and a number of the words on her spelling list are not even included in this book. I find the book to be average, at best.

I use this book in my classroom. It helps my students come up with better ways of saying and writing things. It is quicker for them to look through than a thesaurus. It helps ESL students widen their vocabulary easily. It also helps me when I work on papers while getting my Master's degree. It is a great aid.

A good quick reference book, but I will say that some words are not listed. It is focused for 2nd - 5th grade in my opinion. A handy addition for a home reference library!

I got this book to expand on my vocabulary but found it limited. I prefer antonyms and synonyms to Thesarus as they give a more direct and quick understading of words by contrasting them to other common words. Unfortunately, I found this book limited in the number of words identified.

This is a quick reference for classroom use. Sometimes a teacher cannot come up with one of these elements and this reference helps.

A quick, efficient reference with the most commonly used words for students on the go

This dictionary was complimented on by my child's teacher and suggested as a must buy for the other children. I love Amazon's suggestions b/c had I not purchased the MW children's dictionary I would have never found this synonyms/antonyms/homonyms dictionary. It also arrived quickly (less than 5 days).

I purchased a copy of this inexpensive thesaurus for all of my school's fourth graders and the teachers report they are great. They especially like how the thesaurus includes antonyms. These books are paperback and the page material did not seem very durable to me. If you need something more durable, you may want to check to see if there is a hard cover edition.

Writing is my granddaughter's favorite subject and so this is a perfect book for her to use to express herself. She can look up the words herself easily. Thank you.

New readers love to learn the differences in words. My after school kids set a timer so each gets equal time with this book, They love it.
