Great For Early Readers,

It's Valentine's Day, and Clifford the Big Red Dog has received LOTS of valentines! But he has a very special valentine for his neighbors, and it has to do with SNOW!
This delightful book featuring Clifford and his beloved owner, Emily Elizabeth, is a Level 1 "Hello Reader!" book by Scholastic, Inc. Level 1 books are geared to children ages 3-6 (Preschool-Grade 1), and feature short sentences and stories made up of words that are important to remember and can be sounded out using phonics skills. In addition to being a colorful, easy-to-read story, Clifford's Valentines also includes a Word List in the back of the book made up of 41 words. Some of the words that are featured in this book and emphasized in the Word List are: and, boy, card, day, girl, happy, heart, is, letter, loves, park, snow, the, and woman. This is a nice book for Valentine's Day, but it can also be used year-round to help teach smaller children phonics and basic reading skills |
