Sweet Story!,

This review is from: Scholastic Reader Level 2: Wake Me in Spring! (Paperback)
Wake Me Up In Spring is a wonderful little book to read with a young child. The interaction between two friends, a mouse and a bear, conveys the sadness of being separated from a good friend and the joy of reuniting in a very simple and sweet way. You'll walk away from this one happy.

This review is from: Scholastic Reader Level 2: Wake Me in Spring! (Paperback)
This book is great. My mother knew she had terminal cancer before the rest of us. She read this book to all her grandchildren before she died. At the time it was a nice little book about spring. Now they know that she loved them and was thinking about them. Although it was probably not the authors' intent, it was a great way to explain life and death to young kids.
