Charts, Tables, and Graphs,

This review is from: Scholastic Success With Charts, Tables, and Graphs: Grades 5-6 (Paperback)
This is an excellent resource that all intermediate and middle school teachers should have - especially with the climate of state testing, since students are required to do a LOT of data analysis on these tests.

This review is from: Scholastic Success With Charts, Tables, and Graphs: Grades 5-6 (Paperback)
If you've popped open a middle school, high school, or even college textbook you will notice charts, tables, and graphs are a common tool to convey information. However, if your student is struggling with decoding them, this book is an inexpensive but valuable tool for supplementing your child's education. The instructions are simple, intelligent, and many of the exercises are relevant to other content and interesting. In short, thumb's up. It does start off a bit too easy and some of the advanced challenge exercises make little sense, so minus one star.
This book ONLY covers decoding charts, tables, and graphs. Despite the color picture on the front, all of the worksheets are grayscale. I recommend this workbook for decimals and fractions Scholastic Success With Fractions & Decimals Workbook (Grade 5), which is really excellent. |
