This review is from: Scholastic Video Collection 3-Pack #1 - Where the Wild Things Are / Good Night Gorilla / Pete's a Pizza (DVD)
Kids LOVED Good night Gorilla and Pete's a Pizza, and Where the Wild Things Are, but the videos after the Wild Things are sorta dated and creepy things from the 70's. Wish they would have just put all the good ones on one video!

These videos are such a hit with my kids (ages 6 and 3.5). We had rented them from the library and they liked them so much that I decided to buy them. Their favorite is the "Pete's a Pizza" DVD. They love "The Three Robbers" and the Shark Boy story...they seem to like the weirdest stories best! What a great idea to bring these great books to life using the original drawings. We now own five Scholastic DVDs, and I'd much rather spend my money on this than the Disney Princess stuff any day of the week.

I am typically against tv, but since my 2 year boy is in daycare, he knows about tv. These are great, especially if you have the books. It is simply a narration of the books. We bought 3 scholastic sets as a Gold Box deal and my son enjoys them all, in moderation.

Illustrations and story by Maurice Sendak and a score by Carole King? How can you go wrong? This is a great set of short cartoons that is particularly well suited to kids who are learning to read and count. The animations are beautifully done, and the songs are very catchy. We're very happy with this purchase.

This is the best DVD ever. My 4 year olds watch it daily. The music (Carol King) is superb and the stories are wonderful. Truly a classic.

If you love the book, you'll love this video. We actually found books because of these videos. Pete's a Pizza is so cute. I even play with my boys like they are pizza dough now. The video collection is worth buying. Too bad they don't let you buy everyone they every made in one big bulk buy.
