5.0 out of 5 stars Actually works!
I had a wart on my foot for a while hoping that the "duct tape" remedy would work. After a few months I decided I should try something else, so I picked up these. I was skeptical at first since warts are supposedly hard to remove without harsh chemicals or treatments, but these did in fact work!

5.0 out of 5 stars Actually works!, May 13, 2009
This review is from: Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Wart Remover Medicated Disks, Plantar for Feet, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
I had a wart on my foot for a while hoping that the "duct tape" remedy would work. After a few months I decided I should try something else, so I picked up these. I was skeptical at first since warts are supposedly hard to remove without harsh chemicals or treatments, but these did in fact work!

I kept the medical disks on my foot for about 12-14 days, replacing it (and the "cushioned" covering) every day. The covering seemed like it wouldn't stay on throughout the day, but it actually holds up pretty well and never came off throughout the day. I was especially surprised since my wart was in such a weird spot (right on the top of my 2nd toe). After the 12-14 days my wart simply scrubbed off when I was cleaning it one day, now the area is healing back up nicely. There was very minimal, if any, discomfort when using these. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a cheaper, and just-as-effective solution to get rid of a wart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent and effective OTC plantar wart treatment, March 13, 2010
This review is from: Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Wart Remover Medicated Disks, Plantar for Feet, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
I have only good things to say about Dr. Scholl's. During college, I developed a painful hard lump on the bottom of my heel from walking around barefoot. I ignored it for a few weeks, hoping it would go away but it just got worse and worse. Walking became very painful. I couldn't place any pressure on my heel and had to walk on my toes.

I finally went to a podiatrist several weeks later and learned that it was called a plantar wart. After that, I just went to the drugstore to get a box of Dr. Scholl's instead of paying him to treat it (he had terrible patient manners). My treatment took about a week and a half or two weeks.

Inside is a sheet of little adhesive dots containing salicylic acid and cushioned pads to cover the area while the acid works. The acid basically burn the wart and kills the skin around it (it's the same stuff in Oxy Pads and acne treatments, but stronger). After that time, the wart just comes off when changing pads because of the adhesive. I won't disgust you with the details, but I was grateful for discovering this product and healing my foot. You may feel a little mild stinging at first from the acid, but it's nothing compared to the discomfort of the plantar. Effective, fast, and highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars They removed my 4 warts in 10 days!, December 22, 2009

It started with one wart on my right plantar. Eventually they became 4 on both my left and right plantar. After I used this wart remover, they are gone in 4 days, 6days, 8days and 10days. I changed them every two days. Gently use porous stone to remove dead skins during shower. Although it doesn't work on everyone, it worths a try with little money.

I am amazed at how completely Dr. Scholl's medicated disks removed my plantar warts! The second application finished the job. I will not hesitate to use them again, if another wart appears.

I had a plantar (my first one) on the bottom of my foot up close to my toes. It was about as big as a pencil eraser in diameter. It took 2 weeks and 3 days of using these disks to get rid of it. I felt as though the adhesive covers were a bit big, it was awkward puting it so close to my toes, I ended up cutting them to help make it fit. I also had problems with them coming off it water. Overall, they got the job done.

The product works very well. Though be aware, it may take some time, depending on the size and complexity of your warts. Also, you may need medical tape to keep them on, if they are in hard to reach areas. But overall, they do the job, though it takes a bit longer than I would like. I will say it beats the usual harsh medical treatments. And the price isn't too bad either.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for bottom of the feet, September 23, 2009

I actually got this wart frozen at the doctors but that barley did anything to it. She even said I'd probably have to come back a few times since the bottom of the foot was a tuff place for warts. For about 2 weeks I've been using these and it's a huge difference. I think after another 2 to maybe 4 weeks it will be gone altogether. Instead of every 48hours I have been changing them out every 24hours. I take the old one off before I get in the shower then I put the new one on a while after my shower when my feet are completely dry. As the surface of the wart shrinks I cut the disk so it's not taking off the healthy skin around the wart. The package comes with the medicated disks and cushioned donut shaped bandaids to go over the disk. These bandaids stay on better the any of the bandaids before which is also nice. I'm so happy that I don't have to go back to the doctors a gazillian times to deal with this now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally! Magical stuff, worked in 1 week., January 4, 2012
This review is from: Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Wart Remover Medicated Disks, Plantar for Feet, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
I had a wart on the bottom of my big toe that developed while pregnant. The wart was about 4 - 5mm in size and was disgusting. i had tried the wax stick that has gotten great reviews, but it didn't work for me...it was too imprecise and had to be reapplied a lot. What makes this stuff great, is that it stays on all day long, with the salicylic acid killing the wart/skin the whole time. What helped for me was placing the disc on, followed by the pad, and then a band-aid (the location of the wart was unusual so it needed a band-aid to stay on all day). What I noticed, is that in that environment under the bandaid and pad, the moisture is trapped, helping the medication to penetrate more deeply. The other aids, like the wax stick, my skin would dry out in between applications so each re-application the medication would have to do double-duty to penetrate dry/dead skin. I would change to a new disc every 36-48 hours.

after one week, I thought it wasn't working, and it was kind of getting painful to walk on, so I thought I would give up and call the dermatologist. However on close inspection, I realized that a blister had developed under the wart, meaning all of that skin was dead, and I was able to easily peel out the dead wart with tweezers. Anyone who's had a wart frozen off successfully, knows that a blister must form with the treatment indicating that the wart and surrounding skin was dead.

i didn't even need to use half of one package. yay!
