A must have book for 20th century's art comprehension,

Excellent contents, deep and acessible. Based on a 1993's symposium concerning the interdisciplinarity between Kandinsky's paintings and Schoenberg's music, specially in first decade of 20th century. Schonberg and Kandinsky: An Historic Encounter (Contemporary Music Studies) brings elucidative articles, analysis of some paintings, scores with exemples and more. I didn't finished the reading yet, but in 2 years researching about this is the best book I saw and probably the best book ever released about the theme.
And if you're interested about this subject, I personally recommend Arnold Schoenberg and Kandinsky. Good Readings! |
