4.0 out of 5 stars 101 Lessons On Evangelism That Are So Needed
We in the evangelical church like to boast about numbers. We like to boast on our church membership, morning attendance, Sunday School attendance, giving, etc. But we hardly ever boast about lives being truly set free from sin and free to worship and enjoy God (John 8:31-38). Preachers know how to preach clear, consise, expository sermons but never share their faith...

1.0 out of 5 stars An Embarassment
I'm sorry, but this book is an embarrassment to the Christian faith. For some readers, the fact that I rated an evangelism book by Cameron and Comfort with one star automatically results in a disregard for all that will follow. But I would encourage you to read ahead.

I am a Christian. A pastor myself in an evangelical church. Evangelism and apologetics...

4.0 out of 5 stars 101 Lessons On Evangelism That Are So Needed, August 6, 2004
This review is from: The School of Biblical Evangelism: 101 Lessons: How to Share Your Faith Simply, Effectively, Biblically... the Way Jesus Did (Paperback)
We in the evangelical church like to boast about numbers. We like to boast on our church membership, morning attendance, Sunday School attendance, giving, etc. But we hardly ever boast about lives being truly set free from sin and free to worship and enjoy God (John 8:31-38). Preachers know how to preach clear, consise, expository sermons but never share their faith outside of their four walls. "Spirit-Filled" members boast in spiritual gifts but never truly share their faith.

This must change! Thankfully God is using Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron to boldly declare that the Church must repent and return to God's heart, evangelism (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8). God did not give us His Spirit so we could get goose bumbs when the right song is played or we hear a sermon we like but He gave us His Spirit to evangelize a lost world. The Church is called to be salt and light (Matt. 5:13-16) and we must allow the light of God's truth to shine through us (Philippians 2:12-16).

This book is easy to read and follow. The 101 lessons build off one another to help the reader grasp the biblical teaching on evangelism. Comfort and Cameron lead you through the entire Ten Commandments to help you understand how important to use the Law to convict sinners (Romans 7:7; 1 Timothy 1:8-11) and lead them to grace (Galatians 3:21-25).

A good book for those true disciples hungry to share their faith as the apostles did (John 15:8).

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent introduction to personal evangelism, February 22, 2007
This review is from: The School of Biblical Evangelism: 101 Lessons: How to Share Your Faith Simply, Effectively, Biblically... the Way Jesus Did (Paperback)
I have been a born again Christian for 30 years now and have been active in a Bible believing, fundamental, independent Baptist church ever since. I have graduated from college with a Bachelor of Theology in Bible. I confess that I have not completed the whole book yet, but every part I have is positively the very best treatment of personal evangelism I have ever seen, bar none. Even my college courses in this subject didn't compare. Everything on this subject written by this author or published through their publisher has been excellent. I would recommend it to anyone.

As a 3rd year college student at a reputable Christian university, I can honestly say I have learned more from this book than any of my Bible classes here at school. You name it, if it relates to evangelism, it's included in one of the lessons.

5.0 out of 5 stars As Biblical as it gets..., January 8, 2007
This review is from: The School of Biblical Evangelism: 101 Lessons: How to Share Your Faith Simply, Effectively, Biblically... the Way Jesus Did (Paperback)
Until you read this for your self, along side the Bible, there is no way that I can put into words just how valuable this is.
I encourage you as you read this to have your Bible right next to you, and check out not only the to see if the verses quoted are accurate, but read the above and below the verse to check if the message being given is out of context or not. There are many "so-called Christian books" with all kinds of quotes in them, but many are taken out of context, and it can easily be seen if you just look at the entire passage.

While going through this book several times, I found it to be "Rock-Solid"!

Each chapter could easily be a 2 or more hour Bible Study!

I continually use this book as a reference.

This review is from: The School of Biblical Evangelism: 101 Lessons: How to Share Your Faith Simply, Effectively, Biblically... the Way Jesus Did (Paperback)
This book, along with Way Of The Master has caused an epiphany in my spiritual life. Following the examples of Christ and quotes by great men like Spurgeon, Edwards, Luther and more, these books are the most revolutionary I've read in my life. I finally get what GRACE is all about thanks to the law (10 commandments) opening my eyes to the near hopeless condition man is in. Until the conviction of my soul, I've not known what true grace meant. I suggest to every professing christian to buy The Way Of The Master and Biblical Evangelism and check out the website. It will slap you out of complacency and change your life!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny!, March 6, 2007

I came out of a pseudo-Christian cult. This book stepped me simply through the basics of the Bible and helped me understand why I need God, why the law of God is good, and how the law brings me to the foot of the cross begging for the blood of Jesus Christ.

This is a book that brings people to Christ by giving a good understanding of God's will. It cuts through the fog of rhetoric and reveals rock solid Truth that has profoundly changed the way I think.

I have given the book and told my other excult friends about this book and they have found it extremely helpful. Three of my friends now have left the cult and are in fellowship with Christians now.

The book is broken into easy to read chapters. They have scripture, a solid lesson that is relevant to our lives, anecdotes and thankfully humor to make the truth easier to swallow.

This book can be read over and over again and I still get more out of it.

After reading this book, gaining valuable understanding and then talking with some "Christians", many of them don't understand the basics of what Jesus taught.

I am so glad they wrote this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential evangelism teaching, January 6, 2006
This review is from: The School of Biblical Evangelism: 101 Lessons: How to Share Your Faith Simply, Effectively, Biblically... the Way Jesus Did (Paperback)
If you care at all about reaching the lost, then read through this book. It contains 101 lessons that take about 20 minutes each, and if you've never heard Ray Comfort's teachings then this book will change your life. If you have heard his teachings, this book can still change your life. It goes over everything you need to know about reaching out to the lost. The only thing it doesn't give you is real time experience: You have to get out on the streets yourself to get that. You can also go to www.biblicalevangelism.com to join the online school, I'm a graduate myself. Highly reccomended.

5.0 out of 5 stars truth to Biblical Evangelism, March 7, 2006
This review is from: The School of Biblical Evangelism: 101 Lessons: How to Share Your Faith Simply, Effectively, Biblically... the Way Jesus Did (Paperback)
This is another great tool to use for evangelism. Here in America we need tools like this to get to people to know that there is an absolute truth and that we all are going to be accounted. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 and Revelation 20:11-15

Those who have not read these two passages. I suggest you do and study them and pray that you may understand.
May Jesus Christ bless you and your households.
