4.0 out of 5 stars Good ideas, but you need to provide the know-how
This book was filled with wonderful ideas, but they weren't reproducibles, just ideas. So you were left with having to create it yourself based on the concept in the book. The ideas are good, I was just expecting more reproducibles and a bit more how to information on the bulletin board ideas.

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay reference, but...
Hi! I am an elementary school counselor. This is a decent reference, but I would not encourage an educator to spend their precious, limited budget on this resource. There are ideas for bulletin boards and activities with the children, but perhaps would be better for a brand new counselor not a seasoned professional.

4.0 out of 5 stars creative ideas, October 10, 2010
This review is from: School Counselor's Scrapbook: A Collection of Bulletin Boards, Small Group Activities, Arts, Crafts, and Creative Props for Grades K-6 (Paperback)
This book goes beyond bulletin board ideas into many creative strategies for engaging students in counseling sessions. Using art, magic tricks, props, and behavior reward systems to motivate kids is much more productive than just talking to them. Some of the bulletin boards could be enlarged with an overhead projector. Others give instructions and prompt ideas if not patterns.
