Spanish Language Supernatural Slasher, October 17, 2009
This review is from: School Killer (DVD)
First of all, "School Killer" is not in English like the description states. Rather it is in Spanish with optional English subtitles. Normally I prefer foreign films to be dubbed(I get too distracted trying to read subtitles throughout) so I really wish this dvd had that option.
The film itself is not too dissimilar to "The Blair Witch Project"(a fact that one of the characters in this film points out early on). It's about a group of college kids who explore an abandoned high school where years earlier a janitor went on a killing spree. Soon it seems the kids get caught in some kind of space/time continuum(don'tcha just hate when that happens) and are reexperiencing the events on the night of the massacre.
Not a bad movie. There's a fair amount of gory killings and the film features Spanish horror vet Paul Naschy. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I didn't have to rely on the subtitles, but that just might be me.
***Edited to add that now the description states that the movie is in Spanish, not in English. Glad I could help.***
