I am very confident parents will enjoy perusing it & also sharing it with their own school-going kids.!, February 7, 2007
This review is from: School Success: The Inside Story (Paperback)
I have read this book during the early nineties when it was just released.
This book is actually written almost in the format of a workbook. It's targetted at parents of primary school kids.
In a nut shell, it covers effective study skills & shows parents how to create school success for their kids.
It goes pretty well with 'The Everyday Genius: Restoring Children's Natural Joy of Learning, and Yours Too' written by the same author, Peter Kline. I have reviewed the latter book earlier on amazon website.
For the uninitiated, Peter Kline is a recognised expert in accelerated learning methodologies (he likes to call his, integrative learning) & he has worked extensively in many school projects. Readers can easily check out his impeccable background. [At the corporate level, he is instrumental in contributing to the early development of 'Photoreading' technology (with Paul Scheele of Learning Strategies Corp) for business readers, in addition to his 'learning organisation' stuff.]
This workbook is his humble contribution to the world of learning.
I am very confident parents will enjoy perusing it & also sharing it with their own school-going kids.

Elementary School Book, October 25, 2009
This review is from: School Success: The Inside Story (Paperback)
This book is organized and illustrated as if elementary students were going to use it. But it is not a textbook. I was hoping more for something practical and applicable to young adult education.
