5.0 out of 5 stars Great for those who can work on albums once a year
I have 4 children and during the school year, I'm running too hard to think about scrapbooking. This album allows me to save my son's special school papers and art work in a 3-ring portfolio inserted right into the album. At the end of the school year (you know, that first lazy week of summer) I go through and edit what I've saved through the year, add his school...

2.0 out of 5 stars Too complicated for a busy mom
This is not the school years scrapbook for you if you just want something basic to keep track of each year for your child! It is VERY detailed with questions to answer about every part of your child's school day and after-school activities. Also, I did not like that report cards, awards, etc. are in different sections. You do not see an entire school year all together!

This album allows me to save my son's special school papers and art work in a 3-ring portfolio inserted right into the album. At the end of the school year (you know, that first lazy week of summer) I go through and edit what I've saved through the year, add his school pictures and interview him about his likes and dislikes. It can all be done in about 30 minutes yet gives such a charming snapshot of his personality and life that year. The children love to go through the album and see their progress. It's fun to see how my son's changed between kindergarten and 3rd grade. It's a great album and I highly recommend it to any busy parent.

4.0 out of 5 stars Only goes to grade level 5, June 18, 2005
I love this book except for the fact that it only goes through grade 5. I really wanted something for K-12. I think I will keep it though because it is like a 3-ring binder and I can add pages if my daughters want to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for preserving childhood memories!, September 6, 2001
By A Customer
This is a fabulous book for the sort of parent that actually filled out the baby books! It gives you a place to jot down what your child was like in each year of school, and gives you tips on how to preserve their artwork, report cards etc...and keep it all in one place.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great keepsake!, September 9, 2006
By
Before my daughter started kindergarten, I bought three of these books, one for each of my kids. My daughter is now in second grade, and my middle son in nursery school. I love these books. The binder format allows you to add plastic sleeves with photos or other mementos, or even remove pages you don't need/want to fill out. Another feature I like is involving my kids. For each year of school, the child draws a picture of him or herself and writes his or her "signature." I already know that in years to come I'll enjoy seeing how my kids have changed and grown! This keepsake book is perfect because it is so versatile, takes into account all of the things you'd like to record, and even changes as the years go on to reflect the different interests of growing children. I love this book, and highly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars great book!!, January 25, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book is great because you can add top-loading plastic pages in the 3-ring binder format and add special awards, pictures, report cards, etc. Plus, they just came out with a Jr. and High School Chronicles book that is due out at the end of February 2006.

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE this book! Prompts me for information to remember., June 19, 2005
I purchased two of these books for my two oldest children, 6 and 3 at the time. Now I need to go get another one for my youngest. I love the 3 ring binder format so I can add pictures, awards etc to the appropriate year. I love the drawing of yourself to show the progression in fine motor skills. With the addition of the upcoming 6-12th grade sheets this book will carry us right on up to college. Couldn't ask for more than that!! This is the greatest book and my teacher friends agree.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best memory book so far...., July 11, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book has many features for preschool-5th gr, medical, birthdays, vacations, etc. It is a great layout w/binder to add more pages and plastic inserts. The book does not include plastic pockets for photos, but easily inserted. If you are interested in scrapbooking, but don't know where to start or don't want to do so much work...this book is perfect. I plan on getting the jr/sr high chronicles for 6-12th grade.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Keepsake, October 8, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book is fantastic. My daughter is only in Kdg and already loves going back to see her two years of pre-K chronicled. And, since I've fallen WAY behind on my scrapbooking, I can fill bits and pieces of this out whenever and not feel guilty for not keeping up! I chose this particular book b/c it was in the form of a three ring binder. I was a little leary that it was going to come across as cheap, but that is not the case at all. The cover is sturdy (it even comes with an extra 'cover/spine' in case you fill it up and have to start another one), and the pages are very relevant. I am able to put a lot of really good info in there that I know my daughter will appreciate as she gets older. I also love the fact that if you have a three-hole punch, you can put anything in there in a matter of seconds. I use clear plastic sleeves for photos, but everything else (awards, etc) gets punched and put in. I'm getting ready to buy another one for my son.
