As I am a huge fan of "Revenge", I was so excited to read this book. I was so into it, just to have it absolutely just end. They got some revenge on certain characters, but never went beyond that. You don't find out exactly what happens to the 2 main bad guys. I was so sure it was a mistake where it ended, I started hunting down something that could continue the story...I really felt left hung out to dry...if it hadn't ended where it did, and gone further into detail, or a sequel, I would've given it 5 starts...it completely grabbed my entire attention and sucked me right in, then BAM, just ends...very disappointing...I hope another one comes out where this one leaves off...I really do...

I really wanted to love this book. I liked it, but it left something to be desired. I feel like we didn't get to know the characters enough and at times the turns it took were slightly confusing. I did like the story line though and it looks like there will be another book based on the way it ended... if not the ending was very disappointing and left a lot of loose ends. However, this was very well written and still very entertaining.

This book is like a prequel to the series which answers some questions about the training center in Japan. It makes for a quaint reading if nothing else.

I enjoyed this book a lot. It was fun seeing Emily and Takeda in a different setting. I look forward to the next book!

First off, let me make this clear. I love the Revenge TV show. It's had its ups and downs but always comes back stronger than before. So, naturally, when I saw that a book was being published about it I had to get my hands on it asap. Then I heard that Emily Thorne is only a minor character in the book and my enthusiasm died down.

I'm on a mission to read the books I already own this year so Schooled in Revenge's turn came. It's about a girl called Ava Winters who is (you guessed it) training to avenge her parents' death on Takeda's island. There are some other people on the island as well. It later turns out that they're all together for a reason: they have a mutual enemy. Their training ends prematurely and they are facing some serious danger.

Now, my main problem with the book was how annoying the characters came across. They behave childish and are so centered on their own troubles that they don't seem to care for anything else. I read over half of the book and just wanted it to be over. Then came an unexpected twist that slightly redeemed it in my opinion but as quickly as my hope rose, things came down to a terrible ending. I couldn't believe it. It's such an open ending and I can't find information on whether there is going to be a second book. I hate cliffhangers!

To sum up, this had the potential to be a great thriller but it isn't one. I appreciate the idea, but the execution was terrible. I feel like this was only published to make some money on the show's name. It failed to met my expectations. Every single episode has more thriller elements and is better than the entire book. Might have been better if Emily had a more important role. And if Takeda didn't had such an air of mystery about him.

Just to put it out there, I love "Revenge". It is one of the greatest tv series ever created. Everything about it is just amazingly done. It's what the "Count of Monte Cristo" would be like in a modern-day concept.

When I first heard about this book, I was a little scared for what could happen if it doesn't do well. And wow was I glad that my fears were wrong. This was a good book. It wasn't book of the year but it was a great spin-off installment to "Revenge". I even say that it is worthy to be part of the series.

I love the characters and I love the storyline. Although it does leaves a few unanswered questions by the end it does leave a satisfying feeling. I even love that it has a "certain" character appear in this story.

"Schooled in Revenge" is a beautiful addition to the world of "Revenge". It deserves to be read and enjoyed. You will not be disappointed.

I love the show Revenge but this book is not the show, do not be fooled.....while they bring Emily in for quick encounters....this book was awful and I have never said that about a book.....so awful in fact that my friend whom I usually lend books too, didn't get this....it was the easiest read, no ending and just eh.....sorry but I was not impressed.
