I originally ordered this book with the intention of finding out more about 3-5 schools I had my heart set on applying to. However, by reading through this, I was able to rule out 1 of those schools (and possibly a second) while adding another 3 to my search. The schools I looked at had things to offer that I never even thought I'd look for in a potential law school, but when I did further research, it turns out they're more important than I realized.

I can't imagine prepping to apply to law school without this book. I can look in here and find out where I'm going and where I'm never getting into.

My father regularly purchased ratings books for law schools, just to keep up-to-date. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find these in actual books anymore. It has been extremely helpful in choosing a school for myself based on specialty, cost, location, student body, etc. Even in an age where reference material/statistics are easily found online, this compilation maintains significant value if for no other reason than because it collects so much useful data into a well-organized format.

The introduction gives an overview of what some of the book's statistics mean and also provides helpful hints for applying and choosing the right law school per individual. The schools are listed in alphabetical order, most gaining their own pages, detailing a particular school's background and specialties. Some of the best information comes in the form of who, on average, each school accepts and what they look for in a candidate. Information on costs and life after graduation, as well as a variety of other useful information, is addressed on a school-by-school basis.
