Care & Handling

Fortessa Metalware is dishwasher-safe and made to withstand use in the busiest of restaurants. However, it is recommended that certain steps be taken to ensure the longest possible life of your flatware. When handling and storing your flatware, be sure to separate by type to prevent scratching. Avoid steel wool or metal scrapers when hand-washing and abrasive cleaners when dishwashing to avoid corrosion. In the dishwasher, facing flatware with the heads facing up allows for proper washing and drying. After your metalware is cleaned, it is important to make sure it is dry before storing in order to avoid water spots, oxidation and corrosion.

Looking for replacements for our beautiful but fragile Riedel wine glasses, we came across these at a local fine dining establishment. The Ti oxide glass has exactly the same light sensation but is touted to be more durable. Time will tell but we have broken most of our Riedel's just by hand washing them.

I purchased these Schott Zwiesel Tritan Crystal Pure Burgundy glasses for their angular design and modern looks. The design is a stunning departure from ordinary Burgundy glasses and are definitely a topic of conversation. They are extremely strong and durable and I love that they are completely dishwasher safe. The design provides plenty of surface area for the wine to breathe and are a pleasure to use!

Use these glasses every night and they are wonderful. Definitely not unbreakable though.You still have to be careful because if you hit the rim they will crack.
