Made in China, but ...,

... it appears to be quite well-made. As well as being quite sharp, my particular knife was very tight (i.e. difficult to unlock), but is loosening up slightly with use. If I'm correct, this is a good thing - it seems to indicate that the knife parts are put together properly.
The leather case also appears to be quite well-made. Bottom line - it's a lot less expensive than a similar "B---" knife and it looks like it will last every bit as long.

Not Quite the Original,

I had a Schrade "Uncle Henry" lockback knife years ago. I still have the leather sheaf, but the knife "grew legs," as many good things often do. This LB7 lockback looks good, is quite sharp, and is made in China like too many things available in America today. And it is not as expensive as the Buck Hunter which is still U.S.A. made last time I checked.
This new Shrade Uncle Henry Chinese made knock-off is not as substantial, uses less steel, and does not quite have the heft of the one I had over thirty years ago. Not quite the knife you hand off to your grandsons ... If you have never had or seen the original American made Shrade LB7 Uncle Henry Bear Paw, you will probably really like this Chinese knock-off. It is sharp, light, and beautifully manufactured with well polished wood, and brass highlights. That said, it is not as solidly well built as the original version that was made in U.S.A. I will keep this one, may give it to my stepson in a few years, but I was disappointed.
