all the survival people and even the boy scouts say to carry a pocket for what ever may arise so i have always done so most often a kershaw or case but when i lost my last kershaw on a tubeing trip started looking for an affordable replacement this one got my attention because it looked like the one my dad carried i got it and have used it ever since it has a solid lock good fit in my hand and keeps a very sharp edge
