We own several items produced by Schrodt. All of them including this NBS Nesting Box in handcrafted redwood,are of the highest quality and workmanship.It can be hung anywhere either on a wall or free standing. A quiet location 5 to 10 feet off the ground or higher. The bird house is easy to clean, sleek, decorative and offers what nesting birds like chickadees, wrens and nuthatches are looking fore in a shelter. I'm happy with this purchase! John Row
