It may be small, but this beautifully crafted songbird lantern caters to seed-eating birds in your yard in a big way. The lantern's diminutive size (about 6 inches high) and weight allow it to be hung in places inaccessible to larger feeders. Sunflower seeds, millet seeds, or other favorites may be added easily by removing its arched top. Glass on two sides allows you (and the birds) to view the seed level from afar. A lid at the bottom prevents seeds from spilling, and small drainage holes on the sides keep them dry and fresh. This lantern's sleek redwood detailing and removable hanging pine cone on the bottom will blend seamlessly with your natural backyard environment.

"My bird feeder!", I thought with glee. I rushed to open it and it was better than I had anticipated. The wood is smooth and beautiful, a true work of art. The panels are glass, not plastic, and the pincone hanging on the bottom of it to ward off chipmunks was the perfect look for my mountain home. I have hung it just outside my kitchen window and anticipate a long cold winter ahead, but the promise of a show from birds outside my window helps me face the snowy season with courage. The instruction booklet inside explains the habits of birds and how to care for them and I am beginning to think maybe this could be the beginning of a new hobby! Betty

I bought this feeder to replace "socks" filled with thistle seed, which attracted many goldfinches but looked ugly. I was very pleased with the appearance of the feeder (and the fact that it recycles scraps of wood), but wondered whether the birds would accept it. They do! I plan to buy more.

I put this birdfeeder outside my kitchen window and I watch all the finches eat their breakfast in the morning while I'm eating mine. It is beautiful and well constructed. It's easy to put the birdseed in, and attracts dozens of beautiful birds. I definitely would recommend it to anyone.
