Book Description

Schroeder's Antiques Price Guide August 2004
No other book on the market houses as much information for a bargain price. Once again over 50,000 listings from reliable sources are included and carefully checked by an authority on the subject. More than 400 expert advisors make sure only the best and most accurate data remains. Hundreds of sharp photographs accompany the 500+ categories: glass and porcelain, match holders, purses, cookie jars, jewelry, advertising, furniture, dolls, records and more. History and other pertinent facts complement the descriptive listings, which reflect the current market and developing trends. 2005 values. AUTHORBIO: After writing their first book, The Story of Fiesta, published in 1974, the Huxfords became pottery editors for Collector Books and in that capacity wrote several other books on various Ohio potteries: Roseville Pottery, McCoy Pottery, Brush-McCoy Pottery, Weller Pottery, and Roseville Pottery, Volume II. Since 1982 they have been editors of Schroeder's Antiques Price Guide; Schroeder's Collectible Toys; Antique to Modern; Garage Sale & Flea Market Annual; and Wanted to Buy.

We have used Schroeder's Antique Price guide for many years. We always look forward to the newest issue as we use it on a very frequent basis. It is written in concise and clear terms, well documented with many reference sites also listed in clear, easy directories. Amazon offered this guide at the best value we could locate online or offline. Thank you Amazon.

Thank you,
Mary & Les

If you are going to buy only one price guide on antiques, buy this one...and buy a new one every year. I use this constantly ~ it is well written, well documented and has numerous references. It covers a daunting array of items thoroughly and interestingly. The background information at the beginning of each heading is worth the price of admission alone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Schroeders Antique Price Guide, September 16, 2005

Good book but a lot left out, Mostly rare or hard to find items are covered and from not all makers. Still a good book for the more advanced collector.
