Product Description

This 750-watt power inverter has a built-in high speed cooling fan and overload protection shuts down the unit if the continuous load exceeds the recommended wattage. I needed some portable power for a small halloween parade float. This inverter lit the lights and powered the boom-box.

I tried this with a simple 100 Watt light bulb and it wouldn't even power it up. I tried several different small appliances and they all held the same results. It would just make an annoying, high pitched screech and the green light would turn red. I hope this was just a fluke but this one was DOA. Have not had time to see about returning it yet.

I hooked up a 250 watt load to this 750 watt inverter, flipped the switch, and thick brown smoke came out. I had previously tried using a schumacher 400 watt inverter on the load, but it smoked, so I tried the bigger one. So much for their overload protection.
