They have been very good tires.
A. Brad Larsen
Kevlar seems to need a little more leverage to fit the tire onto the rim but these tires ride nicely.

The tire has a branding name on it: INNOVA.

I bought a pair of these for my next door neighbour and mounted them on his bike.

So far, they have been fine - no flats. We ride together on local trails that are not the smoothest and are well blessed with thorns, stickers, and tiny sharp stones so flat protection is very nice to have.

You can't beat the price, either. They only come in the one size, so far as know.

Update December 23, 2011. My riding buddy has had these tires for 11 months now and about 2000 miles. Still no flats. This past month our favorite trails have deteriorated because rain has washed gullies into them. These tires have worked well on wet, rough, stony caleche even though they are not meant for off-pavement riding.

These seeem very well made. They are a little wide if you want a street tire. Great overall tire. Fit my 700 rim no problem. I am very happy with the tire. Be aware that there is one tire per pack even though it says 2 pack. You will need to order two.

Prior to purchasing this tire, I read all the reviews on here and still decided to order it despite some negitive ones. So some people stated that it is not bigger than the standard 700x35c road tires, well its obvious that thier eyesight is failing and they need to go see a doctor immediatly. It is noticably bigger than the 700x35, I have been cycling for a continuous 4 years now and prior to that it was on/off for about 10 years so thats my experience when it comes to cycling.

Upon opening the tire from its nice schwinn packaging, I immediatly noticed the reinforced inner lining of the tire with a nice cross pattern of fibers. Secondly I noticed that the side/outer walls of the tire are ridgid and structurally sound. The outer rubber on this tire is double thicker than your average road tire and I would be comfortable riding over rocks and other road debris with this tire without hesitation.

Some other reference points to keep in mind if your on the fence about whether this tire is good or is worth the money.... Im a 210lb 6'1" man, Im using this tire on a Schwinn Wayfairer with a 80cc engine mounted on it bring the combind wieght of the bike and myself to well over 275lbs, most of which is on this rear tire, at the lowest PSI of 45, it hold the bike and me on turns with no problem. I should also note that a heavy duty inner tube as well as a propper rim liner should be used for such applications. But if it can withstand that, then this bike tire would take on anyone on any 700c sized rim without any thought.

I hope this review helps you guys in your decision on whether to purchase this tire or not.

Best Wishes,

Mr. G

Bought these for my 29er mountain bike for occasional road use when knobby tires are not practical. Changing tires is sort of a pain but for now it saves from buying another bike and I really like the ride of my mountain bike.

These tires are 38mm in width and so they seem pretty narrow on my mountain bike. They do fit my 29er rims just fine. The inner tubes for my mountain tires were too big for these tires, so I had to purchase a smaller tube size.

These tires roll smooth and fast on the road compared to my knobby tires (as one would expect). On the road they serve my purpose just fine. I haven't noticed any issues with the fit or shape of these tires when inflated. They don't wobble or any such thing.

As far as easy trail and off-road use they are OK, but they are not for serious off-road use, and definitely not for mountain biking in any kind of rough terrain. If 25% or more of my total bike trip was mountain bike trails I would rather have my knobby tires on, even if my trip consisted of 75% road. But these tires handle easy trails pretty well.

One thing to note is that because these tires are fairly narrow they don't do well on soft gravel, sand, or other soft surfaces as they tend to sink down. This makes peddling difficult. Again, my big, low pressure mountain tires are much better in these situations.

These tires have pretty thick tread and so far I haven't gotten a flat. I haven't used them enough to see how they will wear, but so far I've not noticed any visible tread wear.

Overall this is a good road and light trail tire at a bargain price.

I'm so old, I remember when bicycle tires were sold without being folded up in a 4" square box! I recently replaced the original tires on my wife's 1993 Bianci hybrid, and was surprised when all the tires in the *Mart store were packed in wee, tiny boxes. This 700C tire also came packed up tightly bound by a tie wrap inside a small cardboard box. The *Mart tires were Innova in a Bell branded box, the Schwinn tire also says Innova on the sidewall. (Amazon's price is 25% less than *Mart's).

I mention the packaging because some reviews commented on having difficulty mounting these tires. I wonder if part of the problem some people may be experiencing is that the tire is insufficiently straightened out after being clamped down so tightly. I spent a good amount of time making sure that the wire beads were straight and worked out all folds in the casing before mounting the tire. It went on easily and straight.

So far, I'm very pleased with the tire's performance, and hope that the Kevlar layer will help avoid punctures, too.
