I tried figuring out how to use this with the included instructions, and either it is broken, or it just doesn't work with bike tires. I had it connected and as I pumped air a part started coming out- making almost impossible to get air into the tires.

Trash,

It worked for a month or so and then would not switch or properly pump out of either end at the right time. So it made it completely useless for the needle or bike. It ended up in the trash.

I purchased this pump this evening at a major retailer upon being attracted to the mid-range price, and what looked like ease of use and convenience. Both of my tires started out feeling somewhat soft, but did not register any substantial PSI on my tire gauge. I began with the front tire and got it up to 25 PSI. A few pumps later, all of the sudden, I could hear air leaking out. I unattached and reattached the pump over a dozen times with similar results. After a while, I was completely unable to pump ANY air into the tire as it appeared to be leaking out faster than I could pump it in. I even thought that perhaps I was using the wrong valve converter (Presta vs. Schrader) so switched the converter around as well. I assumed I must have a bad tire, so I switched to pumping the back tire instead... Ultimately, now BOTH of my tires are currently COMPLETELY flat, and to pour salt in the wound, "Bike to Work Day" is tomorrow... I dropped my vehicle off in another city this evening, and bussed back home... In order to have access to my vehicle after I biked to work in the morning, then headed off to another destination that can't be reached by bike or bus after work... Hey, on the plus side, it looks like this useless accessory would look really cool when mounted to your frame...

I agree with previous statements the only positive thing about this pump is it looks great mounted on your bike. Otherwise, it's completely useless as a tire pump. The only switch working is the needle for balls. I chucked it in the garbage today after a half hour trying to open up the tire valve switch to inflate my tire.

Dud switch but otherwise OK.,

The main pump socket works well, is smooth and will get you home if your bike tires are soft, and pump up many items. The needle however did not work at all on my example. I assume the switch was broken. I did manage to use pliers to extract the needle and use it witht he main socket fine, but the point is the quality control should have picked up this issue. My lesson learned is to check all functions in the shop before purchase in future as i did not even try the needle for 6 months after purchasing the product.

This is Schwinn Quality?,
This review is from: Schwinn Air Driver 700 4 in 1 Mini Pump (Toy)
I purchased my Schwinn Airdriver 700 this afternoon. Upon arriving home I rolled out my bike, locked the pump head onto the valve stem and began to inflate my tire. After about 25 good pumps suddenly the end broke off from the cap that holds the reversible head in place and the head popped out of the pump. Near as I can tell that plastic cap was designed to use as little plastic as possible, and looks about as thick as the wall on a milk jug. My last mini tire pump endured over five years of hard use, this one did not make past one tire. Tomorrow I head back to the store with my pump and my receipt to see about a refund.

Overall it is a good product.I like the needle attached to it for inflating balls. However if you want to inflate your bike's tires you are waaaay better off with a foot or floor pump even if they are a bit more expensive. It is difficult to properly inflate tires with this one. You can do it, but it requires some power, and also it gets harder and harder as the tire inflates. It's not the issue of this product in particular but rather with all pumps like this. However, it is small. So it's the only choice if you want a pump in your backpack.

May be for footballs. Not great for bicycle pumping. Too small and that is why takes too much effort to pump even a small amount.

decent bike pump, and handy for sports balls too...,
This review is from: Schwinn Air Driver 700 4 in 1 Mini Pump (Toy)
I've have had this pump for a few years, and have found it to be convenient to use, and pretty reliable for pumping up bike tires and sports balls. With a metal rod and cylinder, it's solidly built and reliable, though not the best choice if you are looking to minimize weight.Like most mini-pumps of this type, the fittings that attach to the tire's valve are made of plastic, and have some type of rubber seal. Making a good connection can sometimes take a few tries, but once that is accomplished, things usually go pretty smoothly. Fully inflating a tire can take a hefty number of strokes, but at least this pump has a rotating handle that makes pumping easier. The pump also has a built-in fitting for an air needle, which is very handy, and easy to use. It comes with a plastic mounting clip, which secures to the bike frame. The pump is held in place with a Velcro strap. If you take long road trips, carrying a pump like this one, is a good precaution, along with a patch kit, and perhaps even a spare tire tube. Schwinn has been making consumer grade bicycles and bike accessories for decades. You may be able to find for this item for less, at your local bicycle shop or big box store.

Used it for the Sclaverand and works great. All Air goes into tube. Don't know on the ball pump or other valves but works great for me. There could be better instructions but i figured it out real quick. So with the bicycle mount its real good for the price.
