5.0 out of 5 stars Worked perfectly!
I could not find smaller sized training wheels for a 12" bike ANYWHERE... except Amazon. Exactly what I needed and easy to install. Worked perfectly and my 4 year old granddaughter loves her new bike.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what you expect from Schwinn
These do not properly fit a 12 inch bike, even though it says they will. You cannot put the bracers on to secure them in place, they simply don't fit on the small bike. Also, the wheels are made from hard plastic instead of rubber. Not the kind of quality I was expecting from this brand!

too bad .... kids don't need these long.
but they do need to reach the ground ... they absolutely will not fit 20" bikes, they miss by 4" ... 12" bike yes.
they are also so flimsy if your child is not coordinated and able to learn fast they will not last.
if road are rough I imagine they would not last but a few days
I would also question their safety

Purchased these training wheels for 16" Barbie Bike. The included hardware did not fit this bike easily. The plastic covered notch in the stamped stabilizing arms was too narrow to span the very deep shape of the rear stays of this bike, had to improvise attachment. Other bike styles may not have this problem.

An additional washer was needed to space the wheel out far enough to clear the channel edges of the strut.

1.0 out of 5 stars So Disappointing for Schwinn, August 18, 2011
This review is from: Schwinn Girl Bicycle Training Wheels (Sports)
I bought these to go with my daughter's new 20" SCHWINN bike. The package says they may not fit all bikes but I didn't expect that they wouldn't fit a Schwinn. Sure enough, as others have said, the braces didn't fit and needed to be bent and then the wheels were so far off the ground even at the lowest position that the bike was tipping over. I called Schwinn only to be told that the box does say that the wheels don't fit all bikes...and that yes, EVEN Schwinn bikes.

Very disappointing for Schwinn. There was absolutely no customer service on their part. A 20" wheel is a 20" wheel. I don't think these would even work on an 18" wheel.

After searching for the right training wheels for my friend's daughter's 16" bike, I finally found them here. They were the exact design match of the bike and very easy to mount. Now 4 yr old Emma can learn to ride her bike....Price was also very reasonable.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible Product!, April 7, 2011
This review is from: Schwinn Girl Bicycle Training Wheels (Sports)
I have never written a review before, but I just had to take the time to make sure no one buys these training wheels. My daughter was a confident rider with her old bike, but as soon as we put these training wheels on, they kept slipping and could not be tightened enough for them to work properly. Because of this, the wheels continuously fell off, and now my daughter has actually lost confidence in biking. We are now going to have to do a lot of retraining with reliable training wheels to increase her confidence again enough for her to try biking without them. This product does more than not work, it creates psychological problems that will take months for her to overcome. If I could give this product zero stars, I would. I really wish they would discontinue the product.

Marginally functional, do they really think that plastic tires are going to last any time at all on concrete? The basic design is OK, but the product lacks quality in its production. Those from pre China days are much better made! Read the label and realize why it isn't as good as it used to be.

1.0 out of 5 stars 12 inch stationary bike, August 26, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Schwinn Girl Bicycle Training Wheels (Sports)
Should have read reviews, I read Schwinn and thought quality. If installed on a 12 inch bike you now have a 12 inch staionary bike because the back wheel is inches off the ground and just spins. They were white not purple as shown and plastic which I don't think will last very long.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother, July 26, 2010
This review is from: Schwinn Girl Bicycle Training Wheels (Sports)
The wheels are junk. One trip down the driveway and they were in for repairs. They are a hard plastic rather than any kind of rubber. They disintegrated within the first hour. After one hour I went to Target and purchased new ones for less than I paid for these. These were cute (although the color is just a sticker you have to put on yourself), but they were not worth the money or the shipping.
