Hands down, the adjustable band in the back of the helmet is the best feature I've ever seen on a child's helmet. There is a very easy to use turn-knob, which adjusts the band around the back of the head, so you can initially put the helmet on loose, then tighten it down to the point that your child can't remove it. It makes it very easy to put on your child, as it's hard to keep a toddler sitting still while you adjust straps, and somewhat difficult to put a properly adjusted helmet on your child due to how snug it needs to be.

My daughter was not able to pull this helmet off her head due to the adjustable dial on the back. Love it.

Thank goodness for this helmet. It probably saved my almost-four-year-old daughter's life the other day when the bike we were riding together (with a child seat for her) fell over at a stop. I heard her helmet make a big "thwack" on the pavement, if you can imagine such a thing ... but thanks to the helmet, she was uninjured, just a little shaken, and got right up and wanted to go back onto the bike. If she hadn't been wearing the helmet, I probably would have been calling an ambulence and rushing her to the hospital, if she'd even been lucky enough to survive ... (and on a related note I DO NOT RECOMMEND EVER EVER USING A CHILD SEAT ON YOUR BIKE. They are just too dangerous. Spend the money for a good child bike trailer with a safety flag instead!!! Risking your child's life, even with a helmet, is just not worth it.)

I purchased this for my 3 1/3 yr old. She loves it. It fits perfectly using the dial on the back of the helmet. It stays on well, is comfortable, and the little visor on front is good for keeping sun out of her eyes.

We got this to go with our 2 yr old daughters first tricycle. Fit is perfect. Had a neat little dial on the back to easily adjust the fit...which is not only very easy, it's reassuring to know that she has the perfect fit. Also the design makes it so she can't remove it on her own. Very happy mommy :)

I was looking for a helmet for my two year old. It is hard to find since most helmets say 3+. Online this one is listed for younger children (can't remember what it said exactly) so I ordered it. I was disappointed when it arrived and the package said 3+. But it totally works for my two year old. The tightener at the back of the helmet works to make it to any size you need and its super easy to tighten.

After looking at numerous helmets we decided on the Schwinn model for out daughter. In the past we have not have any problems with anything Schwinn produced. It had a nice adjustable band inside the helmet and seemed well made until we used it for a second time. Apparently the adjustable band was put in with velcro and glue. The velcro came undone and the glue was still very sticky that it pulled a clump of hair from out daughter's head. Every piece that was glued onto the helmet came off and left a sticky residue. She sees the hemlet and now screams and wants nothing to do with the bike. Terrible quality. I would not reccommend this product to anyone.

This helmet is great for our 15month old. She looks so cute in it and it adjusts great with the easy dial option.

This is one of the best helmets I think you can buy for the money.
You can adjust the straps, you can just the inside head rest to actually fit their head. It is worth every penny and we highly recommend it. My daughter is 2 and this hat will fit for many years with all the adjustments you can make.

First let me say that the adjustable suspension system is great to fit my 2 year old's head. the problem is that the system is held on with velcro and glue that comes loose. After the first uses, my daughter was pulling the sweat band for the forehead down over her chin. While I think I can fix it to stay put, the fact is I shouldn't have to.
