Ok, the Windrigger is the real deal. Fantastic workout and well put together. I've used mine for 20 minutes 3-4 times per week for 2 years. I never have neck pain anymore and overall fitness and muscle tone is much improved.
The only thing that has failed so far have been 2 of the 4 wheels that the seat rides on. They are actually rollerblade wheels and to purchase the original wheels was about $50 for 2 which is a terrible ripoff. I bought 4 wheels of the same size on ebay for around $12.
Great Exercise Machine. BUT, Schwinn no longer sells or supports this machine. If you need parts you must find them yourself. The most common problem are the four wheels that the seat rest on. The rubber wheels crumble after a couple years use. The wheels are inline skate wheels and you can replace them. Look on Ebay or at a skateboard store for 64mm wheels with 608 bearings. Wheels larger than 64mm will not fit into the rail track. Wheels smaller than 64mm will cause the seat to rub on the support. The shafts for the wheels are 8mm wide with metric threads. Easy to find replacement bolts at any hardware store but you may need a Dremel to grind them 64down to the proper size or they will rub on the inner rail guide. The 608 bearings have a 8mm shaft hole and a 22mm outer dimension and should fit nicely in the 64mm wheels. After you have the new wheels installed and tested, while you sit on the seat, for no rubbing and free motion fore and aft, Disassemble the wheels and apply a mid level thread lock paste on the threads and reassemble. On some seats you will see that Schwinn built the seat to run on six wheels instead of four. The extra holes in the middle of the seat rail will fit a 8mm bolt if you wish to add two more seats. I added two and think it may solve the wheel wear problem. If anyone else finds parts for this machine please post the information on this site. Good luck, keep rowing.
Hi quality, full body workout!!! This machine is great for "us women" for the stomach and back area! It works great! The rowing machine is one of my favorite machines at the gym, so I decided to get one for home. I'm loving it.
