I teach kids with autism, and this toy is a very systematic toy. I can use it to teach them to request, say go, and use it as a reinforcer. The ball on the top of the elephants nose did turn while the elephant goes in circles. The only thing is that the toy seems very fragile, I would not let my students play with it unattended! But other than that--i love it!

I gave this a 4, but it is a wonderful wind up, and worth the price. Main reason is that it goes clear across the room, and our grandchild loves to catch it. Be advised not to leave unattended; this toy is for adult supervision for little ones.It doesn't do much else, but what it does, it does excellently; most windups don't last a quarter of the time.

I bought this toy as a prop for my one year old's circus themed birthday party. It is fragile as others have stated, so I wouldn't let any little ones actually play with it. Mine works wonderfully. When you wind the crank, the elephant takes off and the colorful ball spins around. I was surprised at how long one crank lasted. A very well made toy. My son absolutely loves to watch it zoom across the floor and I wish it weren't so fragile that I could give it to him to enjoy. I may have to just hide it away until he gets older.
