Beware of Suggested Age,
By
This review is from: Baby Grand Piano-Pink (Toy)
This product's description says it is recommended for children age 5-8. IT IS TOO SMALL FOR MOST CHILDREN OVER THE AGE OF 4 or 5. My girls are 4 and 5 and I think it's too small for them. I certainly could not see any 7 or 8 year old playing it comfortably. I was highly disappointed.

I purchased this item for my goddaughter's 2nd birthday, and it was a hit with her and her family alike! Adorably realistic and beautiful crafted - a fantastic gift for years to come. I highly recommend this for any child who loves music and parents who wouldn't mind an elegant toy to display around the house!

I purchased this piano as a birthday gift for my 2 year old niece. We were delighted with the quality. It fits a 2 to 4 year old perfectly - definitely would be too small for an older child. Excellent purchase.

We bought this for our 3 yr old little girl for Christmas. It's beautiful & she loves it! We hope she will take an interest in really playing it once she gets a little older.

I agree this piano is not for a 5-7 year old, unless they are tiny. My daughter recieved this for her 2nd birthday. It's fantastic. She loves it. I am so pleased with the quality and construction. If I had seen it in the store and known what a great deal it was I would have paid even more.

This piano is perfect for our petite 3.5 year old and she absolutely adores it! I can easily see her using it for the next couple of years, no prob. In general, the quality is good but I did find a few small chips on some of the the chair legs. One call to Amazon and they rectified the prob. Now the sound is a bit tin-y so if you're looking for grand piano sound keep looking but if you're looking for a starter piano to help encourage your lil one's love of music this is a great choice. One thing that does kinda of bug me is the music sheet holder. Lol with the quality of piano and the age range of the musicians you'd think they'd include a sheet holder with a lip to actually hold the sheet music, but no, no lip so it just falls straight down. Double sided tape to the rescue!

Shipping took a little longer than I expected, so it didn't arrive until several days after my 3-tear-old granddaughter's birthday. It was worth the wait! When I took it to her, I told her I had a "big surprise, so close your eyes!" When she opened them, the best surprise was mine as I saw the look of pure joy on her face. She couldn't stop smiling. Her first efforts at playing were "enthusiastic," even if not in tune with what she was singing. I predict she'll learn very quickly.
I can't think of anything not to like about this pretty little piano, except for a few minor glitches. My husband had to drill an additional screw hole in the base for the back legs, because the holes were too far apart. The color-coded key strip arrived bent and creased, so I had to print out a replacement which I glued to a strip of matboard to make it sturdier. The first and last keys don't sound quite as good as the others, but hopefully, that will resolve with use. Overall, it has a pleasing sound, not "tinny" like a couple of others I had checked out. This piano seems plenty big enough for my granddaughter, even though she is fairly tall for her age. The only problem I can foresee is that she thinks the stool is good for standing on to reach things. I wasn't sure how to rate it as to durability, because she's had it only one day. But I would definitely recommend it.

I bought this for my daughter when she was one an she is now three an still loves it and all her cousins do too. It is very durable for sure because I have caught a few little girls standing on top of it also. Ughhhh. But overall I plan for it to be a piece that we keep an she gives to her children.

My complaint is more about the company than the product(we have this piano and is is beautiful and perfectly made). I ordered the piano as a gift and it arrived with a broken leg. The recipient called the company for a replacement and was told to await a new piano. Weeks later I received an email stating this company was out of the product and issued a credit.

You are paying mostly for the wood quality of this piano as the sound is like a $30 plastic one. Although I am not personally happy with the overall sound of this piano (its rather poor), the look and finish of the toy is pretty nice and my 2yrs was playing with it instantly and loving every moment. I suppose that's the whole point. The colored notes on the keys is only made of paper and she ripped it off right away. The stand that holds the music is a white plastic stand that comes off easily....too easily if you ask me. There is no lip to hold the music sheet so it keeps falling. That portion of the piano is poorly designed. As I type this, my husband tells me the finish on the piano is "chipped already"......its been open for an hour. We will keep it but not thrilled with it.
