My friend has a collection of music boxes and absolutely loved this one to add to her collection. You can't help but smile watching those bugs twirl around.

My [....] daughter and I LOVE this box! The music plays Moonlight Sonata (I think) and sounds very nice for a music boz. The twirling lady bugs are unbelievably cute. You've gotta see it in real life!

I bought this for my daughter for her first birthday - I know, a little young, but it was the only music box I could find that was reasonably priced and not breakable. She absolutely loves it! She can hold it because it is not too heavy, and likes to put the lady bugs on the top. She loves to watch them twirl around and around. I was very pleased with this music box - I love the style, colors and simplicity. Very cute!

The music box is fun to watch and has captured my 5 year old granddaughter's attention and interest. She operates the music box without problems.

We bought this for my cousin's 4 year old daughter and after seeing it in action, returned to Amazon to purchase two more for my Goddaughter and niece. This is absolutely too adorable to describe in words. We have not yet seen if the kids like it but we love it! It seems to be very well made. It has quite a long play time when wound and plays Fur Elise, one of my favorite classical songs of all time.

we bought a music box as a gift for a friend. my baby girl (5-month old then) loved it and was intrigued by it till we gave it to our friend. we thought we should get one for her and so we got this one. it looked adorable and the music melody also sounds nice. we liked it. and the two little performers were also fun to watch swirling around. the only problem is that my baby wasn't so attracted by it.
(babies <3years should be left alone with the music box as they tend to put those red beatles into their mouths..)

I was very pleased with this music box and it is very good value for money!!

I actually bought this for my Parakeet, Dave. He likes to play a bell along with a music box and we run through them every two years or so. After I broke the last one I bought this and I was relieved that it came in the mail very quickly.

It's so cute I wanted to keep it for myself but Dave rules my house so he got it. This probably sounds a little silly but he is a smart little fella and he flies to my shoulder and chirps at me until I guess what it is he wants (I have never mastered the interpretation of any of his calls save for the one he uses to call me which, for all I know means "Big Goofy Mammal" in parakeetese)- he actually knows the meanings of the words "snack," "Dave," "chips," "millet," "perch," "bath," "water," and "music box." He is not a talking parakeet- although sometimes he moves his beak open and closed when I'm talking. We mystify each other.

Oh, right- the music box. Sorry. The little bugs are magnetic and whirl to a moving magnet underneath them which, I think, is attached to the unseen musical mechanism.

This thing is adorable. (Dave was initially afraid of it- you'd be afraid of cute little toy bugs, too, if you only wieghed an ounce or two.) I think children would be charmed by it (my neighbor kids certainly are) but it's not for pre-schoolers without supervision- the bugs look too deliciously chewable for a toddler.

Mine plays the theme from "Love Story" which doesn't thrill me but Dave likes it fine so I'll live with it. It works very well and is small without being miniscule.

Very sweet little music box. It's a good buy. I think kids would dig it. If you have a parakeet- they also might like it.

This music box has been with us for several years now, and is currently my 13-month-old's favorite thing. She just lights up completely and forgets any troubles when I wind it up. It has been very durable for us- dropped and kicked under the couch and you name it by my older daughter. Some paint is missing, but it still works like a charm. Explaining the magnetic mechanism makes it educational, as well. A great, non-battery operated toy in my opinion. I keep intending to investigate the tune.

I bought this 6 months ago and it broke today for the second and final time. The 1st time it seized up a few weeks after I bought it. I took it apart and got it working again, we haven't used it as much since then, ( which is probably why it made it 5 more months) we have been very careful. Well I wound it today for my son to watch, it played about 10seconds and made a loud click sound and Seized up again! I am done attempting to repair it. Although it is cute and my son(who I bought it for) loves to watch it, it is cheap. Not worth the the $14 I paid. It's a little wooden box with kiddie flowers painted on and two twirling bugs on top. Cute, but worth about $5, if it had worked!
