The fork is a fun party trick and is durable enough for some good laughs.

However, don't expect quality flatware here. The metal is pretty thin, and as another reviewer said, you have to fork at an angle to prevent it from collapsing. Also, the extendability makes washing just a little more challenging.

Kind of hard to steal food without it collapsing if done at an improper angle. If you figure that out it works fine. Also makes a wonderful back-scratcher and pointer.

Bought as a gag gift has since turned into a must have. Once used at a buffet style lunch with friends mad them envious. Now we all have them. Good for reaching things a bit farther than your reach that your greedy friend won't pass. Can be used to get food from a distant plate to try as a sample from a willing/unwilling friend. It's just fun!

This was a fun gimmick toy while it lasted. I used it to eat off a few people's plates as a prank at a men's retreat I worked. It isn't very durable but for the price it was worth it. I think I used it 4 times total before it broke in half where the telescoping portion attaches to the fork portion.

The telescoping portion is similar to the old school radio antenna's and is somewhat fragile. The fork portion came in completely flat, like it had been stamped out of a flat piece of metal. After some bending and prying I got it to resemble a fork, adding to the realism of it.

I bought this to have a long fork to make bacon with. On first extending it, the rods pulled completely out of each other and would not go back in. Shoddy make.

This product is definitely a novelty and is not for actual use. It doesn't wash well in the sink either.

Purchased this as a gag gift so I can't review as to how well they work for a magician but this was a fun item that was packaged nicely and worked for the few times it had been used. Seems like it would last and does look like a real fork when it's not extended.

I bought this to actually use to trick people. Like others said, it is too flimsy to actually stab food when extended. I have an extendable spoon from another brand and it is well made. When it is extended, it stays straight and firm.
