My son truly enjoys gardening and the work that goes into it. We ordered this for him to actually use in the garden. Let's say that items in picture are not actual size. The tools are too small for a 5 year old to use. They are good quality and would stand the abuse, but they are small..in the 4 inch or less range. I would qualify this as a novelty item not a set of useful tools. I would simply buy tools and use the bag, but it wouldn't hold anything larger than the included items. This will become a gift to a 2 year old instead of what it was intended for.
Be forewarned, these are too small for small hands and an adult wouldn't stand a chance of using them.

I was specifically looking for a gardening toy for a present for twins turning 4. I bought 2 and their mom tells me they each love taking their little sets and helping her in the garden. Now no more fighting over mom's tools!

Rounded with tools, the tote is about 7" long. Ridiculous. Too small for even a three-year-old, though I'll give it to her because it is cute and well-constructed.

I purchased this gardening set for my niece for her birthday. I was really impressed by how sturdy the tools are. They are made of metal, not plastic, and have good weight to them. They seem like they could really get the job done, without being too sharp or dangerous. My sister loves how they all fit snugly in the tote and she's really excited to start gardening with my niece. I think that overall, this is a really high quality child's gardening set for the price.

I bought a whole collection of these gardening tools for my daughter's fifth birthday and little did I know they would turn out to be the favorite gift of the party. She could not wait to finish opening presents before she started playing with this stuff.

I bought this for a neighbors son that likes to work outside with his parents. It is durable and the little tools are great. I truely hope it will inspire him to continue bringing me vegtables from his garden.

Perfect for a 4 or 5 year old. Got this for a cousin's child and she loves it! She has a lot of fun helping in the garden and she can actually maneuver the tools since they're the right size and are durable. They had tried other kid's tool sets but the tools just broke if you actually tried to use them as tools.

Your little one can garden right by your side, allows them to really have working tools that are small enough for there hands and can be put away neatly in place. I have even used when in a smaller area, sturdy!!!!

It is a well made set and my nephew helps grandma in the garden all the time

Bought this for some friends and for my own for Easter-this was one of the biggest hits-a perfect size, made very durable and a great value!
