Schylling's Metal Speedster is a beautiful ride-on for your toddler! It is bright yellow with a red flame, remeniscent of hot rods in an earlier era. It has a steel body, with detailed chrome accents. It features a horn, working steering column, plastic fenders and rubber tires. Perfect for that special 1 to 3 year old! Weight should not exceed 42 lbs.

My kids love this toy. First saw it at a friends house and fell in love with it so I bought it for my kids [6,2,14 months] THEY LOVE IT...Very sturdy and well built. My friends son [3] goes tearing through their house on it [their floors are not level to each room some have an inch lift] and this speedster takes the bumps with ease. Would recommend this ride-on to anyone who has children boy/girl.

Basically the only one of my children who has really gotten use out of this car is my youngest girl. My 3 yr old has too long legs for this toy even from the very beginning, he uses it but prefers other ride-ons we have due to comfort. I never noticed how low riding it was. I still highly recommend it but with reservations to parents who have children who are in the higher height percentage.

The boy's metal speedster version of this toy was well-reviewed so I purchased one for my toddler grandson and the girl's pink one for my toddler granddaughter. That was 2 months ago. I have her car at my house and she has barely played with it. Last night I noticed something peeling off of the silver hood ornament and cut myself twice trying to remove it.
The boy and girl versions of the toys appear to be identical except for the color of the body, and the silver-colored parts seem to be exactly the same.
The paint-like silver metal paint or laquer on the Schylling girl's pink speedster ornament peels and is a sharp, metallic substance. It is also possible that a small child could ingest this paint.

Got this for my nephew's first birthday and although he was a little young for it when he received it (meaning not so great at stearing) he hasn't stopped riding it since and he is now 2 1/2! The car is his and his friends' favorite "ride" and through all the boys has not even gotten one scratch on it. Super durable; you know, like they used to make them! One of the best gifts I've ever given.
