The look of this drum is wonderful, and it is a lot of fun. My son loved to put the strap around his neck and march in his parade. The drum looks like an heirloom toy, but ours will never become one. It completely fell apart (it was not abused) and we were unable to reassemble it.

We bought this for our 2 1/2 year old Thomas fan. It's really cute and rather reasonably priced. My son loves to bang on his drum, and dance around the living room. He plays it quite often and we've had it for about 6 months, so far we've had absolutely NO problems with the drum falling apart or getting dented up like some of the other reviews have mentioned. Bottom line: great toy for any music/Thomas fan.

We bought this drum for our (now) 3 1/2 year old son about a year ago. He LOVED it!!! He played it every day, but after awhile, the drum head got a lot of little dents in it and it eventually just caved in. But, a year's worth of fun and music is well worth (...)

We have had this drum for three years or more and my almost 5 year old son loves it. It has withstood everything he could dish out and I love the sound. My 14 month old daughter also loves to play marching band with it, but after all this time, the poor drum didn't hold up to her attempts at using it as a step stool! I will definitely buy this again!

This is a great drum! It hangs comfortably around the neck of the child & comes with two drumsticks. It has a good tone for a toy drum, and so far it has held up well (6 months) having one small dent on the side. My son plays with it often. Buy the book, "hands, hands, finges thumb" to go with it and your child will be charmed. I will read the book aloud and my son will beat his drum to the rhythm of the story.

Our 3 year old has so much that sometimes it seems like nothing keeps his interest for long. This little tin drum keeps him busy and feeling like he is in his own marching band! Cute as anything, we love watching him walk around holding this tiny tin drum around his neck and going to town on it. Great gift! It was a little smaller than I anticipated, would of liked the strap to be a little longer to go around his neck, but not a big deal, he doesn't seem to mind?

Buyer beware and read the diameter or any drums you may buy for child carefully. I wanted a drum for my son to wear around his neck as he has shown much interest in carrying things around his neck and thought this would be cute especially because of his love affair with Thomas the train. However it is so small and yes now looking on the site I see it says 7 in diameter which I would have expected to have been larger. This looks like it is a drum for a doll and the drumsticks match the drum and are just tiny, probably wont send them back though because they are for his Thomas themed party and want as much Thomas present as possible and he may not find them as annoyingly miniature as I do. He is a very tall little man and I think that the drum might look too small for him or any two year old. I am disappointed!

I bought this toy drum for my 2 1/2 year old grandson, who loves both music and trains. He loved it, but within a couple of days, he had pushed in the drum cover on both sides. It's still usable, but somewhat battered. Wish it had been made a bit stronger.

I bought this drum for my 2 year old grandson. He loves it. It is of good quality and best of all it has Thomas and Friends on it. I would buy it again, I just wish it was a little bigger so he could use it as he grows.

My son loves this but I thought it was going to be bigger its about the size of a large head of cabbage I was expecting much bigger.
