4.0 out of 5 stars Two Miracles For The Price of One
Anyone who has heard about The Secret is bound to ask, "how does this law of attraction really work?" While I truly enjoyed Rhonda's ability to re-market this ancient science for the post millenium audience, I can see why a lot of people are skeptical. If you really want to know the ontology or scientific methadology behind this law, you must get these two books. Rumor...

2.0 out of 5 stars not as great as it sounds
Although I have high regards for the writter, but this audio/book was more of a motivational talk than anything...just to get you to focus, doesn't tell you how to focus your thoughts it just tells you to do it! not worth the money, just buy the book or the audio of the "Ask and It's Given I & II) and it has much better routines to help you focus your mind!

4.0 out of 5 stars Two Miracles For The Price of One, August 23, 2007
This review is from: The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles AND The Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel (Paperback)
Rumor has it that the line in the movie " my daughter gave me these books...I had no idea they would change my life" (something to that effect)----the books she is refering to in the movie are these two books.
Whether you are a fan of the secret or a doubter---these two authors are worth reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Double Your Effectiveness by Reading Both, February 18, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles AND The Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel (Paperback)
Yes, there are some spelling and formatting errors in here. I didn't pay much attention to the grammar because the way they wrote when these two books were originally published was totally different. Frankly, I think it's totally irrelevant.

If you are seriously committed to changing your life, you want to read both of these books.

The first title, "The Science of Getting Rich," was written by Wallace Wattles in 1910. It is a systematic and scientific system for getting rich. (Just make sure you understand what that really means. Just because someone has money doesn't make him/her rich. Follow the steps, and you will find true riches in life.)

The second title, "The Master Key System," was written by Charles Haanel. This book was banned by the church, and I understand why. For the traditional hell fire and brimstone churches that are all about poverty and punishment, learning how to live an abundant life simply won't do. Learning to think for yourself and find your purpose in life takes away from the power of these churches.

This is one of those situations where you "can have your cake and eat it too." Jesus called us to abundant living. He told us to "seek the kingdom of God first and everything will be added unto you."

Follow the instructions in these two books. They won't violate your faith unless you are a liberal, atheist, or some religion that emphasizes poverty over finding your purpose and living the life God has called you to.

The more I read this book the better my life gets. I don't neglect reading my Bible, but this book has helped me see things more clearly and really boil it down to the basics of true success in life.

Interesting reads, The first book The Science of Getting Rich was very direct and to the point, still a little confusing, while the second, pretty much summed it all up, very informative, and intense reading ! I'm glad to have read these, and would recommend to any one trying to grasp the "real meaning" of the power of attraction !

The master key system is great and I have the book as well...that is worth the money!

1.0 out of 5 stars My first "one star" reveiw (for publication, NOT content), October 15, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This single star is for the published version of this book not the content (which is 5 stars).
All references to "Jesus" have been deleted from this book. (i.e. the reference to the parable of the talent, how He was always "thanking the Father" and other references etc.) So it's edited, abridged, censured, or whatever term you'd like to use. That's ok, it's their publication and as far as I'm concerned they are free to omit what they like BUT we aren't told that up front. (If you find that to be otherwise, please leave me a comment and I will 'amend' this review). So just be aware you are not getting sentence by sentence as Wallace D. Wattles wrote but instead, what he wrote with some left out (what THEY decided to leave out). I didn't even bother to go to the Hannel since the book is junk to me because it's not complete - but since they have left out "over here," (without telling the reader), then it also makes me suspicious as to what was left out "over there" as well etc. To me, because of this, it's a worthless copy/version of these two great classics.

p.s. Amazon might be better to split review by content/customer service/publication etc. I can't put 5 stars on what I consider to be a 1 star publication of 5 star content. So the 1 star here then pulls down the rating of what many reading reviews will consider on the content. I see this a lot with customer service: it's a 5 star item but someone will 1 star it because it was broken when it arrived in the mail etc. pulling down the rating of an excellent item with a USPS issue rather than the item itself.

1.0 out of 5 stars The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles AND The Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel, August 31, 2007
Surprisingly, this book has many spelling errors and grammatical errors within its pages. I am shocked that an editor/publisher did not catch these.
Other than that there are some areas of use.
