5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!, August 9, 2001

The one word to describe this album is WOW! This is an amazing album. I was hooked the first time I listened to it and now it is always in the CD player. Yes, the import price is pretty steep, but it is worth it. If you like the British sound you will love this album. I have heard The Bluetones called "the poor man's Stone Roses," there is nothing poor about this guys. I love The Stone Roses and The Bluetones are almost their equals. The music on this album is very catchy. My favorite tunes off of it are Mudslide and The Basement Song. Buy this album, it is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Evolution Of Britpop, June 25, 2000
This review is from: Science & Nature (Audio CD)
Well, Bluetones is one of the most underestimated british bands of the nineties. With the guys of Cast, the Bluetones made greats albuns and beatiful songs. Their last record, "Welcome to the last Chance Saloon" is simply fabulous. Britpop metting the ZZ Top sounds. Now, with this new album, Bluetones got back to the green fields of England, but with new sounds to show. Just listen Zorrro, the first track of Science & Nature, and get a better life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great third album from the 'tones!, September 11, 2006
By

This review is from: Science & Nature (Audio CD)
This is the 3rd album from the Bluetones and continues in the same tradition of being tight, well written and performed British guitar rock. Zorro is a jarring, unusual opening track, but a very good one. Other good songs include Emily's Pine, Last of the Great Navigators, Tiger Lily, One Speed Gearbox, and Slackjaw. Mudslide is kind of fun but is super lightweight and gets annoying after a while. Overall a really solid album..not as good as the first two, but still up there and better than most of the junk being pumped out by lesser bands.

5.0 out of 5 stars Britpop Contenders, September 19, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Science & Nature (Audio CD)
2000's Science and Nature marks the Bluetone's return to form. They here adopt a lighter more cheerful mood than in their wonderful debut Expecting to Fly.They seem to adopt a simpler pop formula while detaching themselves from the more complex ambiences of their first album(which had a notorious Stone Roses influence).Still,it works in every possible way with songs of the likes of Zorro,Mudslide,Last of the Great Navigators among others turning out to be beautifully crafted pop songs flowing from Adam Devlin's guitar and Mark Morriss voice in a perfect manner. This album installs the Bluetones in the pole position of british pop rock bands for the new milennium alongside Coral,Muse, jeevas and the Libertines.
