Inkubus Sukkubus have done it again. On this CD, the music gets a little more subtle, while the themes grow more nuanced. The driving witchery of the rhythms and the pagan themed lyrics just keep getting better. The CD opens with an 'ode' to Pan, and continues with songs dealing with sacred space, intolerance (a usual theme for IS) and a really danceable cover of the Rolling Stones tune "Sympathy for the Devil." It's wonderful to hear such an exquisite band becoming even tighter as they grow and mature. It is this kind of CD that makes me want to hear a band in concert; I can only imagine what IS is like live!
