From Library Journal
This fourth edition of Science Navigator has 8000-plus articles from the fourth edition of the McGraw-Hill Concise Encyclopedia of Science and Technology, the contents of Dictionary of Scientific and Technical Terms (105,000 entries), and 250 biographies of world scientists. The price is acceptable, too. It is possible to search all three of the source files at once, as well as separately, and the search capabilities, once mastered, are extensive and powerful. Advanced searches may bowl newcomers over with too much data: AND's CompLex software can be overcomplicated and unclear. Bottom Line: Navigator is recommended to libraries and individuals for its content at this price, but we encourage McGraw to follow Grolier's lead in enhancing search-button labels.
