About the Author
Dr. Kain is a working scientist/engineer with a knack for teaching children as young as 3 the principles of chemistry and physics. In The Science Spiders(TM), Dr. Kain uses fun and friendly characters to show how science is all around us and how we can explore science in our own home or class. Each book is a complete, fully-illustrated science story that revolves around the adventures of The Science Spiders; and their friends. And Dr. Kain includes experiments at the end of each book for children and adults to learn science together. Dr. Kain has a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Vanderbilt University, is a member of the National Science Teachers' Association, assists local elementary schools with their science curriculum, works for the DuPont Company, and is an associate member of the DuPont Fellows Forum.
