A less than stellar introduction to astronomy,

With high initial hopes, this product didn't deliver on that. It "works". But it takes a lot of futzing with the dials; loosening, moving, tightening. And it seems that it's not stable enough to provide the precision needed to stay focused on objects in the sky. When you try to make adjustments, it wobbles so much it's very hard to keep even the moon centered (or even in the field of view) and this is at some of the lower powers.I had extreme trouble trying to make the recommended adjustments to get any objects in focus at the higher powers. I wouldn't recommend this product because the experience isn't enjoyable enough to use it more than once or twice. It will end up being a tribute to science (art piece) sitting in your home rather than a functional telescope. |
