We were looking to get a cable modem at a great price. We found it in this modem. It gives us exactly the same features as what we were leasing from comcast. It works great and we did a search at 31 dollars great buy. We just needed to switch it with the one from comcast. I looked up the serial and product number. Amazon gave us a few choices. The seller shipped it fast. We are satisfied.

Modem arrived in about 8-10 days. It worked just like it was supposed to. I hooked it up, called Comcast, they activated it, and IT WORKED! I took my $7.00 a month Comcast modem back to Comcast and my Amazon-purchased modem paid for itself in less than 2 months. It was so cheap it cost less than the shipping!

The unit has performed flawlessly since its arrival. Quick delivery, although the S&H costs charged far exceeded the USPS charges paid by the shipper. I purchased the unit to eliminate the per month rental cost for the same item from my ISP.

I bought this refurbished modem to replace the rented modem from comcast and save $7 every month. So far it worked good and had no problems with it. Only thing is it was a bit dirty when I opened the package, they should atleast clean it before shipping.

I purchased the cable modem from Amazon at a very reasonable price and it works very well with Comcast Cable. It arrived quickly and was easy to install.

I bought this modem to replace the same modem type that I was renting from my internet service provider. I had no trouble connecting it and with only brief assistance from my internet provider, it works marvelously. But I should caution anyone who is considering a purchase, it is a distinct probability that you will need some assistance with its installation from your service provider, but the modem itself is a jewel!

This product was received on time and I had no problem with getting it to work.

I recently bought a used DPC2100R2 cable modem and got one that was manufactured in August 2006. It worked fine for five weeks and then died. While it was working, it gave a reliable and fast connection.

Be aware that this product has been released for a long time and that it is risky to get a used one. I recommend not buying any used networking products unless you have an accurate representation of the age and usage history.

It takes a couple of minutes to start working after you plug in all the cables and power it on; it also disconnects like once a day. Once it disconnects, you would need to power it off and power back on. I think for the cost its OK.

I recently purchased a Scientific Atlanta (CISCO) cable modem, model DPC2100R2.
It was listed as used and like new which is fine conssidering the fair price.
I bought it to eliminate the monthly rental charge by my ISP. The rental was reasonable but was suddenly imposed after several years of no charge. I recommend it because it is easy to install and have it configured to replace the ISP modem. I was able to read the log file which gave a fair indication of when it was taken out of service -- August, 2011.
