Your description of this kit it way off base, but since my daughter is happy, I have no real complaints. However, buyers should be aware that pretty much all you can do is grow, color and shrink these crystals. There is no foaming, only a tiny bit of fizzing from the color tablets. There is no erupting volcano, no glitter wand and no waves in a tube. I have no idea where they got that information from, but it does not apply to the "experiments" in this product.

This was a great kit for my six year old girl. She needed some help from her dad, including explanations of how the experiments worked but overall, it was a fun project and a neat introduction to very basic science. This kit contains a few different experiments so you can break it up into a few afternoons so young attention spans don't get overwhelmed. Everything included is non-toxic; the only thing you need to watch out for is staining if a little gets spilled.
