This is a fun kit for any little girl who likes manicures. But it contains mostly ingredients that you are likely to have at home, so it's not a particular good value. This is true with all Elmer's/Scientific Explorer kits, though. The activity guide does a good job of describing nail care and it teaches a tiny bit of science - which is better than nothing. The best part of the kit is the "crystal mud", a polymer crystal which becomes a gel as you add water. The kids loved both seeing it change and soaking their hands on it.

I was really upset when I saw what this toy had to offer... this toy looked really exciting until I saw what it really had to offer. Don't waste your money on this toy... it was HORRIBLE!
