5.0 out of 5 stars great toy
This was a present for the grandkids. They worked at this for hours (age 4 and 6 ) and never lost interest. One word of caution: It is messy. This is probably a better outside toy where you can hose everyone and everything down.

3.0 out of 5 stars Dino Kit
While our 7 year old daughter loves digging for dinosaurs, these "bones" didn't hold up well to the digging. Many of them broke while digging. My husband even supervised a lot of her digging and that didn't make a difference. The pieces don't click together when done. You must super glue them then not touch it. It is just for display.

my 7 year old sons has been enjoying this since Christmas. It's teaching him to be patient and not rush through it. The bones are fragile so it can't be something that is done quickly. He is enjoying finding the new and different bones and trying to figure out what part of the dinosaurs body they belong to. I recommend this.

Beautiful product. It shows clearly the way dinosaurs were discovered. The product has 2 dinosaurs and glasses for eyes protection.
Bones are fragile but the design is beautiful.

I got this kit for my 3 1/2 year old boy who also worked relentlessly on it for hours! (you can speed up the digging process by wetting the mud, but it takes away from the fun). I (the adult) broke a bone because I got impatient :(
you can glue the skeleton together with superglue, but it is for display only, not to play with.
you can really make this a great "rainy day" activity, take pictures while your child digs and then create an "exposition" with the photos and the glued together dinosaur. We called our "Dylanosaurs" after its "finder", my son Dylan!

This is a great product. My four year old grandson is kept busy for long periods of time trying to "unearth" the next bone. I would highly reccomend this toy for any dino loving child.

This was a gift for my almost 5 yr old grandson and he opened it this morning and just loved it. My daughter said it was a lot of fun for him and a lot less messy than some others he has had. All in all, it was a huge success. Thanks!

This was great for keeping my little brother busy... but beware the digging out of the dinosaur makes a giant dusty mess... but nothing that can't be easily vacumed.

My son loves dinosaurs! He had a BLAST with this toy, but we had to help him cause he didn't understand why it was just a rock, but after he figured out there was dino bones in it there was no stopping him. The little tools inside of it were cool, it had glasses and neat things. However, I would recommend find a large box cut in half, or a really good vaccuum, to play with it cause the rock chips away into small pieces. It was a really cool thing to do with my son.

This was a present from Santa to a 5 1/2 yr old girl. Her best friend is a 6 yr old boy. They had a great time with this gift. I have a 10yr old girl who wanted to play with this gift as well.
There isn't much to the box. There are safely goggles , a paint brush, tool for carving (it will take forever with that tool) and there is only 1 so get something else that scrapes. The final item is a hard block of nothing. The hard block is what you have to scrape to dig out the bones.
The 5 and 6 yr old needed help with the project. After 2 hrs they are still at it and havent lost interest.
This was a great gift. More to write after we try to grow a dino!
