We sent this to our nephew for his birthday. He is a bright and active 3rd grader, so we were looking for something adventurous but not too terribly messy. He is having a great time with it! There are plenty of different things to make and it is keeping him busy.

My 9 year old son got this for Christmas. He had requested a "science set", so this was Santa's interpretation. I was a little scared that it was going to be a flop or that it was not going to be what he was thinking, but he loves it! We were mixing up slime on Christams morning! The directions are very easy to follow. Everything you need is in the kit. There are alternative directions for mixing one of the main ingredients that you use for all the slimes that calls for rubbing alcohol, but other than that, it has it all. Everything is clearly labeled. So far we've made the magnetic slime and the color changing slime and I've been very impressed. Very fun,easy and educational.

This was bought as a joke for an adult. He LOVES it, and actually said he had the greatest time and that it was good for stress reduction.

This is easily the coolest thing ever. Hours of fun and experimentation and if done correctly and you FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS, you will yield wonderful results. My son now has several jars of fun slime that is not sticky or runny, as one reviewer claimed. I even googled the ingredients which by the way, you can buy cheap online, so my budding scientist can continue using these recipes again and again. Great product! Great times. Five stars!

Bought this for our 9 year old for Christmas. He's a real science wiz, so he loves it! It was fun for him to see the mixture of the two chemicals thicken into the slime. So far we've made the proto plasmic and the thermo cromatic varieties--the thermo or color changing slime is a bit tricky--it must get quite warm in order to change color, so do not be discouraged if it doesn't change right away. We stuck ours next to the exhaust fan on my laptop, and that was enough to see the color start to change. As a tip, I recommend the second method for creating the guar gum solution, it was quick and easy.

I bought this for my 11 year old daughter based on all the excellent reviews, but it's not that great, in her opinion. Some of the recipes/mixes do not even make a firm enough slime to pick up, just a bowl of gooey glop.
And after making two types of slime, she ran out of ingredients. So that's not too much fun for $17+.

Not only did this kit have enough of everything for TWO children, the science lessons were easy enough that even my six year old understood them. Adult supervision is necessary with this kit, but I had a BLAST doing the experiments too! I think when the kit runs out, we may order another of the same!

This toy is excellent for my science oriented 7 year-old boy. Not only does he get to mix and measure, but he gets a ball of slime to play with afterwards which is very soothing tactile play. The shelf life of the slime is not so great - storage in plastic bags have worked best for us. You make a batch of two seperate solutions for the whole kit, store them and use as needed. The directions for making the different slime could be better because it says things like "add 1/3 of the solution" which varies whether it is the first slime you are attempting to make or the 5th. Anyhow, its not hard to accomodate for and great fun for the kids.

Don't we all love slime? The slippery goo that feels so good on our hands and is so much fun to watch?

There's just something about slime that makes many of us go crazy. This kit was such a hit with my granddaughter and her friends. They are of the age where science and the real world are beginning to merge.
