I bought this product without reading much about it. I am happy to say that my 8 year old nephew is very satisfied with it. He enjoys learning and at least during the two weeks that he has owned it has found time for it everyday. It also allows for competition from his older sister by having a two player version.
An excellent choice for those who don't want their children to have a steady diet of Gameboy and movies on a long summer trip.

I got this for my daughter a year ago when she was almost 7. She actually still uses it, and it is still working although the younger kids have jumped on it and it has been abused a bit! The batteries needed to be replaced a couple of times. I like that the music feature can be turned off and it is not too loud or annoying. The games are not the greatest, but they like the fact features. My daughter has learned alot and I feel like anything that she is still using after a year is a good buy.

My grandson plays with it every day and knows more about the united states at age 6 than most who don't have this toy. He thinks he's playing
