The Pascal programming language was designed for the needs of students and teachers. It is a widely used programming language for instruction in programming, algorithms and problem solving. Its block structure makes it useful for learning programming and scientific problem solving simultaneously. This text illustrates and applies every aspect of Pascal (including graphics, DOS, BIOS and mouse programming) through worked examples and exercises taken from the numerical analysis and algorithm literature.
